Staff and Elders

Steve Huddleston came to University Christian Church in March of 2004. He is a graduate of Milligan College in Tennessee where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and history, and Cincinnati Bible Seminary where he received a Master of Arts degree in Practical Ministries. Steve was ordained into the ministry in Bethel, Ohio in 1980. Steve served 4 ½ years as Senior Minister in Connersville, IN. He also served as Associate Minister for 15 years in Painesville, Ohio and, before that, had ministries in Oklahoma, Virginia, and Plainfield, Indiana. Steve enjoys following sports, playing with his grandchildren, and performing Improv. His personal mission statement is, “to live with integrity, preach effectively, lead courageously, serve willingly, love unconditionally, and leave a legacy.” Steve and his wife, Pam, have two adult children, Heather and Aaron and two grandchildren, Jaimilyn and Joshua.

Jon Bowman came to University Christian Church in September 2021. He is a graduate of Johnson University Florida where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible/Theology. Jon was ordained into the ministry in Port Orange, FL on June 2, 2019. He had previously served at a church in Central Florida as the full time minister to their academy where he taught high school Bible classes. He loves his wife and kids, hockey, racing, reading, movies, and experiencing the beauty of God's creation. Jon and his wife, Angelina, were married in January 2021 and have two children, Joseph and Katherine. He desires to fulfill the Great Commission in all aspects of life.

Michael McDonough came to University Christian Church in June 2018. He is a graduate of Cincinnati Bible College in which he received a Biblical Studies degree with an emphasis on Preaching. Michael was ordained into the ministry in New Whiteland, IN in 2002. Michael has served in full time ministry at Edinburgh, Russiaville, Greenwood, and Windfall (all in Indiana). He has had opportunities to work with all ages, but children’s ministry is his passion. He loves sports, movies, and spending time with his family. Michael and his wife, Kelly, have two kids, Elizabeth and Caleb. He wants to help kids and their families come to know and love Jesus, and to help them grow in their faith daily.

Mary Ann joined University Christian Church in the summer of 2004. Mary Ann was married in the church in September of 2004 and has been raising 2 sons in the church.  Mary Ann was born in Plainfield, Indiana.  She attended Ball State University, graduating with a degree in educational psychology and business.  Mary Ann continued to live and work in Muncie.  She worked in management for nearly 20 years before marrying and having her children.  Mary Ann was then a Behavioral Clinician, working with seriously mentally ill adults for 10 years. Mary Ann has worked in University Christian Church in many capacities including Power Station, Children’s Sunday School, and Fellowship.  Mary Ann has a heart for people and wants to see everyone grow to know Christ.  She loves jigsaw and word puzzles, cats, music, and the Indianapolis Colts.  

Allee Wright joined our staff in November 2023 as our Facilities Manager. Allee became a member of University Christian Church in December 2023. Allee, husband, Storm, and her three children, Zeya, Zeke, and Zaiden live in Mt. Summit.  

UCC is also blessed to have a great team of Elders to lead and guard our congregation.  
Our current team of Elders is Adam Grile, Rick Baldwin, John Burton, Mike Green,
Mark Kimbrough, Charley Gerber, and Don Taylor.
